Course Description

This course is all about socks!

Sock knitting is a great hobby and there are a whole world of different patterns and yarns designed specially for it. However a lot of people get a bit daunted about how to start knitting their socks, or confused when trying to decide which method to choose to knit them with.

Do you know your DPNs from your Magic Loops yet? Why not give this course a go and let me take you through the entire process of knitting a sock with each of the four main sock knitting techniques.

What You’ll Require

  • 2.5mm double-pointed needles (DPNS) approx 15cm/6" long.
  • 2.5mm circular needle, 80cm/32" long.
  • 2.5mm Addi CrazyTrio needles
  • 2.5mm circular needle 20-23cm/8-9" long.
  • Stitch markers - both slip on and clip in.
  • Sewing up needle
  • Scissors
  • 2 x 100g balls/skeins of sock yarn in complementing or contrasting colours.
  • Tape Measure
  • (Optional) Socker’s Rule
